the project
AHD was hired to renovate a single-family townhome for a family moving from out of state.
With their teenage daughter hesitant about the transition, our goal was to create an enchanting space that would inspire her excitement for their new life in Chicago.
the client
A well travelled Business Professor wanted to reflect her Asian roots, Global influences and her strong connection with nature.
The family's rich and worldly story, their holistic lifestyle and the daughter's love for crystals fueled our design direction.
inspiration
We took inspiration from nature and imagined a magical forest with a path that leads to unexpected and delightful moments.
We used custom-made crystal furniture and selected gemstones for their unique energetic properties for specific areas of the home.
our approach
We blended European and Asian design elements to create a contemporary design rooted in nature.
We aimed to create a magical environment, an uplifting home powered by the metaphysical properties of custom semiprecious gemstone furniture and art.
